About

Sandpiper Motel Apollo Bay has been completely remodelled to offer accommodation in surrounds that reflect the beach lifestyle of Apollo Bay. The motel is 100 metres from the main surf beach and 350 metres from the centre of town.

Much of the external timber has been recycled from buildings and structures from around Australia. In fact the boardwalk uprights were taken from a wharf in Cairns, Queensland. Many of the heavy beams were originally in large commercial structures in inner Melbourne. The reception floor is made from Spotted Gum rescued from an old warehouse in Geelong.

Sandpiper Motel is committed to sustainable environment practices including rainwater capture and recycling, highly efficient split system hot water services, LED lighting, effective insulation and smart building design. Gardens have been planted with species requiring little water.

All the rooms have full amenities including separate bathroom with shower and toilet, refrigerator, toaster, tea and coffee making facilities, reverse cycle air-conditioning, hairdryer, ironing board and iron.

The Family Apartment has basic cooking facilities.

There is complimentary Wi-Fi internet throughout the property, and free guest laundry with powder provided.
