Birds eye view from a helicopter or aeroplane

You have a choice of either helicopter or aeroplane when taking scenic flights. A flight like this gives you the opportunity to see the eroded limestone coastline that formed the from the ocean side over centuries. From your birds-eye view you can better imagine how erosion shaped caves — and bridges — which eventually created the apostles themselves.

Helicopter scenic flights give you the thrill of seeing the changing landscape of the ocean, cliffs and hinterland. Apollo Bay Aviation also offers charter flights — allowing you to mix your scenic helicopter flights with other attractions, and special occasions.

Flights depart from Apollo Bay airfield and take approximately 50 minutes return. Also see the remote Shipwreck Coast, Cape Otway Lighthouse and the Otway National Park rainforest. Hear the shipwreck history as you fly above the breakers and of how this coast first gained its name during the Gold Rush era. Find out more here.
