Apollo Bay surf lessons are available at Apollo Bay Surf & Kayak. With classes offered on the foreshore, this Apollo Bay surf school is suitable for adults and kids.
The classes are run by qualified coaches, who teach in the water — so to learn at this surf school in Apollo Bay you need to be able to swim at least 25 metres. Lessons can be two hours long and includes the use of full-length wetsuits. You are also taught on soft ‘G’-Boards (which don’t have sharp edges). Our aim is to get you standing on the board in your first lesson!
Apollo Bay is an eastern facing beach offering progressive beach waves, growing in size and power as you head north away from the harbour. For this reason the bay can offer great learners’ waves with protected conditions which our local Apollo Bay surf school, Apollo Bay Surf & Kayak can always take advantage of.
If you’d like other alternatives or more information about a surf school in Apollo Bay get in touch with our visitor information centre located on the foreshore.
